As the Financial Operations Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the business forward by streamlining financial processes and promoting continuous improvement.

About the Role

This long-term contract opportunity is located in Markham, Ontario, and requires a Senior Financial Analyst to support management of all financial activities related to business operations. Key responsibilities include financial reporting, forecasting, cost accounting, approvals of purchase requisitions, capital expenditures, and supplier payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Variance analysis of financial statements
  • Monthly comparative analysis by cost center
  • Review and approve account reconciliations and roll-forward analysis
  • Approve fixed asset disposals/write-offs
  • Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Management of fixed asset physical inventory
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent, with an MBA and/or CPA being a plus. A minimum of 10 years' experience in an operational finance role is necessary, with prior experience with SOX compliance also highly valued.

You should possess proficiency in Excel, as well as knowledge of MS Outlook and other MS Office applications. This is a high-level position that demands exceptional analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
