About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Specialist to join our team at CI Financial. As a key member of our Cybersecurity program, you will be responsible for identifying and remediating enterprise security risks to ensure the effectiveness of our security measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Incident Response: Investigate security alerts to identify potential breaches and participate in the incident management process.
  • Threat Hunting: Perform proactive threat hunting to detect and isolate advanced threats.
  • Vulnerability Management: Manage the software and hardware vulnerability management process, including providing vulnerability trending reports.
  • Compliance: Participate in business and IT projects to ensure compliance with security requirements.
  • Security Solutions: Deploy, integrate, and configure new security solutions and enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures.
  • Enterprise Security Architecture: Participate in the planning and design of enterprise security architecture.
  • Security Recommendations: Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security.
  • Security Documentation: Contribute to the creation of enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures).
  • Security Monitoring: Monitor in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Remain informed on trends and issues in the information security industry, including current and emerging technologies and new attacks and threat vectors.
  • Security Advisories: Monitor security advisories for current security exploits, evaluate applicability, and provide recommendations.
  • Operational Tasks: Perform daily security-related operational tasks.
Requirements
  • Experience: 8+ years of in-depth hands-on security experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), operating system fundamentals (Windows, UNIX, Linux), security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Management, EDR, Forensics, Application Vulnerability scanning, SAST, DAST, etc.), and application programming/scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell).
  • Working Knowledge: Working technical knowledge and experience in information technology, computing systems, network technology, security operations, security technology, and the application of information security concepts.
  • Cloud Security: Working technical knowledge of cloud security principles.
  • Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – (ISC)2, AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
