Nigig Nibi Ki-win Gamik is a family wellness program dedicated to supporting the needs of Ninìdjànisinànig, Weshkinìgidjig, and their families. We believe in the importance of providing culturally sensitive services that respect the traditions and values of our community.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Responding to all family wellness notifications
  • Supporting family wellness Workers in securing interventions, counselling, and escalating other supports
  • Developing working relationships with leadership in all family and children's services engaged with AoPFN members
  • Ensuring AoPFN members are fully aware of their rights, programs, and services
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in social work or a related discipline
  • Three years of work experience in the social services field or in a related field
  • Supervisory experience is an asset
  • Experience working with First Nations people or groups is an asset
  • Knowledge of indigenous culture, traditions, and values
  • Knowledge and understanding of Nigig's interest in children, youth, and families
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $67,500 - $72,500 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes a pension plan, long and short-term disability, paid sick days, vacation days, and special days.
