Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join our team at Alithya.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our client's IT network, providing continuous support, and ensuring network availability during emergencies.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience with VMware ESXi v5 or higher, enterprise-grade server hardware, enterprise class firewalls, LAN/WAN and VPN connectivity, Windows Server 2012, and storage area networks (SAN) infrastructure.
Additionally, the candidate will have expertise in rules and policies on enterprise-grade firewalls, proficiency in configuring LAN/WAN and VPN connectivity, and knowledge of storage area networks (SAN) infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date documentation of our client's IT network, providing advice and recommendations, maintenance, support, and enhancement of the network, and collaborating with external organizations to gather and communicate information and requirements.
The Network Administrator will also be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining a disaster recovery plan (DRP) to ensure continuity of access to our client network in case of a disaster.
Other responsibilities include conducting research and maintaining a virtual IT infrastructure environment, managing upgrade projects, conducting virtual network administration, defining and implementing access control, and ensuring employee group and account management operations.
The ideal candidate will have a high degree of flexibility and be able to work with a small internal team to occasionally perform additional tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and enhancing our client's IT network
- Providing continuous support and ensuring network availability
- Maintaining up-to-date documentation of our client's IT network
- Providing advice and recommendations, maintenance, support, and enhancement of the network
- Collaborating with external organizations to gather and communicate information and requirements
- Developing, executing, and maintaining a disaster recovery plan (DRP)
- Conducting research and maintaining a virtual IT infrastructure environment

The ideal candidate will have:
- In-depth knowledge and experience with VMware ESXi v5 or higher
- Strong experience with Windows Server 2012
- Expertise in rules and policies on enterprise-grade firewalls
- Proficiency in configuring LAN/WAN and VPN connectivity
- Knowledge of storage area networks (SAN) infrastructure
- Familiarity with network switches and VLANs
- Availability to provide continuous support, including being on call 24/7 to respond to emergencies
- Flexibility to provide support during weekends, evenings, and nights as required
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
