We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as the Senior General Manager at Sienna Senior Living. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in driving the success of our organization and delivering exceptional care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a High-Performing Team: Build and manage a strong and effective management team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to excel in their roles.
- Operational Excellence: Plan, coordinate, direct, and monitor the effectiveness of the overall operational activities of the residence, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of quality and care.
- Strategic Planning: Develop short and long-term operational plans for the efficient operation of the residence, including proper delegation and communication of lines of authority.
- Occupancy and Revenue Growth: Provide support and direction to the team to achieve targeted occupancy, Net Operating Income, and Operating Margin.
- Resident Experience: Respond promptly to resident and family member concerns, including mediating a satisfactory response and implementing an action plan to avoid reoccurrence of similar issues.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure site-level compliance with all applicable provincial regulations and mitigate risks to the organization.
- Community Partnerships: Foster positive community partnerships with health and service providers, business leaders, civic officials, and other community agencies to promote the home as an integral part of the community.
- Leadership Development: Facilitate the integration process for new General Managers to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding experience.
- Regional Initiatives: Spearhead and contribute to key regional initiatives assigned for the region.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in retirement living, hospitality, or a similar sector.
- Skills: Proven track record of effective team management, budget management, and operational excellence. Experience in sales and marketing, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Certifications: Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check applicable to the appropriate province.
