We are seeking a skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at Mayfield Medical Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting overall well-being.

About the Role

This permanent position offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, plus benefits, and is ideal for individuals who possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals to identify diseases and injuries.
  • Examine patients' health conditions to develop effective treatment plans and provide personalized advice on healthy habits and lifestyle choices.
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures as necessary to determine the most appropriate medical treatment.
  • Collaborate with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health and provide comprehensive care.
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as required, and inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Certification from the College of Family Physicians (CCFP).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal awareness and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
