About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Personal Support Aide to join our team at The District Municipality of Muskoka. As a Personal Support Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents in a rural setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including making beds and maintaining patient rooms
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving
  • Transport residents in wheelchairs or stretchers
  • Respond to call signals and determine residents' needs
  • Collect specimens and administer first aid as needed
Requirements
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
  • Tuberculosis test
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
