We are seeking an exceptional Academic Research Scholar to join our team at Dalhousie University's BC-CAD-A project. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, coordinating events, and ensuring the smooth operation of the project.

As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the research staff and students, providing guidance and supervision on non-academic matters. You will also be responsible for drafting articles, planning, organizing, and executing the effective operation of the project, project administration, project reporting, event planning, including budget management, information, and records management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain project standards and procedures for research projects, strategic initiatives, and track project activity status.
  • Oversee project duties including scheduling, documentation, resource management, budgeting, project reporting, payroll processing for research assistants, and coordinate team meetings.
  • Aid in research and provide advice and guidance; work closely with research staff and students, serving as a resource and providing supervision and guidance on non-academic matters.
  • Plan and coordinate events related to strategic initiatives, research and recommend participants, speakers, activities, manage logistics and budget.
  • Manage project communications, including reporting and identifying and carrying out knowledge translation opportunities and activities.
  • Research and investigate additional funding source opportunities, draft funding applications, and ensure they are complete and submitted appropriately.
  • Act as the primary project representative and liaison with various stakeholders, communicating with community members and/or evaluation participants.
