Job SummaryWe are seeking a seasoned Chief Technology Officer to lead our technology strategy and drive the growth and profitability of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the overall technical strategy, identifying and implementing mission-critical solutions, and leading a team of software developers, QA analysts, and Dev Ops engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy to support our business-critical evolution into a scalable, multi-platform news media organization.
- Lead technology decisions related to our network of websites, data and analytics infrastructure, content management systems, and other critical systems.
- Oversee the development and implementation of complex software applications and systems.
- Monitor and report on production quality metrics and standards, analyze variances, and plan remediation.
- Take accountability for leading a flexible but disciplined model of agile software development.
- Translate functional and non-functional requirements into effective design and architectural guidance to delivery teams.
- Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards.
- Conduct research to audit and improve the technological assets of the company.
- 7+ years of experience leading diverse technical teams in matrixed organizations.
- Proven comfort with contemporary development methods and technologies, including AI, cloud computing, CI/CD, etc.
