Bakery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at Karat Chocolate and Pastry. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and that waste is minimized.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Supply Ordering: Order supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked and that all necessary items are available.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to achieve common goals and objectives, including demonstrating new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
