Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Specialist to join our dynamic finance team at UAP inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various treasury support tasks, including cash management, accounts payable and receivable, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record weekly bank operations from various bank interfaces, process check deposits and related journal entries.
  • Maintain daily cash management to meet operational needs, including preparing wire transfers between bank accounts, purchasing foreign currencies, processing payments via the banking platform, and paying prepaid taxes.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of payment issuances by check, cable, and electronic transfer, payroll reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and sales tax declarations.
  • Regularly communicate with service providers and banks to ensure excellent customer service and support operational activities.
  • As UAP inc. is subject to the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) law, the Treasury Specialist actively participates in the financial audit and internal control audit SOX.
  • Promote change by participating in continuous improvement and automation projects for certain tasks.
  • Sustain the growth of UAP inc. by opening and closing bank accounts due to numerous company acquisitions.
  • In your role, you will regularly collaborate with colleagues working across Canada.
Requirements:
  • A diploma in accounting with 5 years of experience or a DEC in accounting with 2 years of experience.
  • As a bilingual English-French speaker, you will work closely with internal clients across Canada.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
