We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Clerk, Deli Counter to join our team at Lakefield Foodland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized deli counter area.

• Operate a cash register and process customer transactions
• Provide advice and recommendations to customers on products and services
• Assist in the display and restocking of merchandise
• Prepare and package prepared meats and other deli items
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a retail or food service environment an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and stand for long periods

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced retail environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

The primary language of work is English.

The successful candidate will work a variable schedule of 15 to 25 hours per week.
