Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Press Operator Gopfert to join our team at Atlantic Packaging in Hannon. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining all press equipment and machinery to produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain press equipment and machinery to produce quality products
  • Follow standard operating procedures and work orders to determine sequence of operations
  • Ensure quality and production standards are met, and continuous improvement is demonstrated
  • Meet or exceed all ISO/Quality requirements and follow HACCP procedures
  • Perform set-up procedures efficiently and effectively, and run at or above standard set by the company
  • Verify print and other specifications with production copy, and visually inspect for non-conformances
  • Report all problems to the Supervisor or Lead Hand when they occur
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and using personal protective equipment (PPE)

Safety Responsibilities and Accountability

  • Follow equipment-specific physical lock-out tag-out procedure
  • Report all hazards/problems to the Supervisor when they occur
  • Use pre-use inspection forms, Manager Plus, and hazard reporting forms as required
  • Report injuries/incidents to the Supervisor immediately
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and good housekeeping practices

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 10
  • Basic Math
  • Previous manufacturing experience an asset
  • Machine operation skills
  • Organization skills
  • Good communication
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts
  • Team Player
  • Self-starter
