We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Pasture + Market. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are washed and sanitized, and assisting with food preparation and service.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
- Load and unload dishwashers, and ensure that all dishes are properly stored.
- Replenish condiments and supplies as needed.
- Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
- Reliability and dependability in meeting work commitments.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
