Job Title: Developmental Services Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Services Worker to join our team at the Developmental Disabilities Association.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Developmental Services Worker, you will be responsible for providing direct support to clients in a group home setting, promoting their independence, and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client needs and develop personalized support plans
  • Provide direct support to clients with daily living tasks, such as personal care and household management
  • Implement behavior management programs and crisis intervention strategies
  • Liaise with community agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of new programs and services
Requirements
  • Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
