JOB SUMMARY:

The Day Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions at Whitewater Ski Resort. As a key member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for reconciling end-of-day sales, summarizing financial data, and identifying discrepancies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reconcile end-of-day sales and summarize financial data
  • Ensure all cash transactions are accurately recorded and balanced
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash handling and financial reporting
  • Run daily sales reports and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Manage the main float, process change orders with the bank, and deposit funds
  • Ensure all resort point-of-sale systems have sufficient change and maintain an inventory of mountain stationery
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador for Whitewater Ski Resort and promote a sustainable approach in daily operations
  • Assist with department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve organizational goals
  • Embody Whitewater's mission statement and values

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year of cash handling experience required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Previous experience with retail environments or point-of-sale systems considered an asset

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse team and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with guests and staff
