About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pizza Cook to join our team at VIVO PIZZA AND PASTA. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas and other menu items to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Plan and prepare menus to ensure a diverse and appealing selection of pizzas and other menu items.
    • Estimate food requirements to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Cooking and Food Preparation
    • Prepare and cook pizzas and other menu items to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
    • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef.
  • Kitchen Operations and Management
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
    • Order supplies and equipment as needed.
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
    • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Customer Service and Teamwork
    • Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and management to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
    • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
