Job Description

The London District Catholic School Board is seeking a qualified Prep & Planning Teacher to join our team at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Elementary School.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach and prepare lesson plans for students in a Catholic elementary school setting.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education Degree and good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • Qualifications appropriate to the position.
  • Previous elementary teaching experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession.
  • Practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life.
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation, and assessment techniques.
  • Current understanding of research, integrating technology, and best instructional practices.
  • Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment for all students.
