About the Role

MobiXpress is seeking a skilled Mobile Network Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance
    • Install and maintain telecommunications equipment, including cable signals and associated equipment.
    • Repair and replace defective equipment, including cable signals and associated equipment.
  • Diagnosis and Repair
    • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment.
    • Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software.
  • Customer Service
    • Complete and maintain test and service reports.
    • Determine nature, cause and location of trouble.
    • Initiate the dispatch of appropriate repair personnel.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Install electromechanical, analog and digital trunking systems, circuits and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centres.
    • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
    • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access.
  • Leadership and Teamwork
    • Instruct apprentices.
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field.
