Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Program Manager to oversee the delivery of care in a designated service area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of care delivery. Your key responsibilities will include establishing clinical priorities, assigning and adjusting work assignments, and promoting a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish clinical priorities, assign and adjust work assignments, and promote a positive team environment.
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and selection of staff, and provide leadership by developing and implementing staff orientations and in-service education.
  • Assess, develop, and evaluate the skills and performance of staff, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Provide clinical expertise, consultation, and leadership in evidence-based practice to staff and patients/clients.
  • Ensure effective and efficient patient/client flow and service utilization.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement processes, including program/practice evaluation and identifying areas for improved efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
  • Accountable for the optimal use of patient/client care resources and identifies opportunities for improved utilization.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing plus four years' recent clinical experience in individual, family, and group modalities of practice in mental health/psychiatry/substance use disorders.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • A valid B.C. Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
