Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Starlight Child Care Ltd. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our child care centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Assistant will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes assessing children's development, preparing learning plans, and implementing child-care programs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment, supervising staff and trainees, and communicating with parents.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assess children's development and prepare learning plans tailored to their needs.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including housekeeping and cooking duties.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Communicate with parents and provide updates on children's progress.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions:

The Early Childhood Assistant will work in a child care centre in an urban area. The position requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
