Join Spice Meat Shop Inc as a skilled Retail Meat Cutter to play a vital role in our team. As a key member of our butchery department, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting high-quality meats for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting
- Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters
- Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
- Wrap and package prepared meats
- Remove bones from meat
- Weigh meats for sale
- Cut poultry into parts
- Price meat products
- Clean and prepare fish and shellfish
- Sell meats to customers
- Cut fish into steaks and fillets
- Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers
- Grind meats
- Train meat cutters
- Prepare special orders
- Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
- Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically demanding role
- Hand-eye coordination
- Accurate and organized
- Client-focused and team-oriented
Our butchery department is a cold and refrigerated environment. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of equipment and machinery.
Language:English is the primary language spoken in our workplace.
Work Hours:40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
