The City of Port Colborne is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Public Works team as an Environmental Analyst. This role supports the implementation of programs, plans, policies, procedures, and systems related to the City's regulatory compliance requirements for water, wastewater, and stormwater.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Act as the City's Quality Management System representative, ensuring the City's accreditation to the Standard is maintained through scheduling and chairing the required management reviews, risk assessments, and infrastructure reviews.
  • Lead the maintenance, administration, retention, and control of the Distribution System Emergency Preparedness Plan and for scheduling routine testing of the Plan.
  • Coordinate training programs for Operators and track Operator training hours for certification requirements.
  • Investigate through analysis for water loss and wastewater and Inflow and Infiltration (I&I).

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree or post-graduate certificate in environmental science, geography, sustainability, environmental management, engineering, geoscience, or related discipline. You have a C.E.T., C. Tech, or A. SC.T. designation and 2 years related experience, preferably in water and wastewater utility operations or municipal experience.
