Key Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care services to patients in a community-based setting
  • Establish and maintain a full-time practice, including inpatient and outpatient services
  • Participate in emergency room coverage and long-term care services
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education programs

Requirements

  • Current Alberta Practice Permit or valid CPSA Letter of Eligibility
  • Recent hands-on experience in all areas of family medicine
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications
  • College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) and College of Family Physicians of Canada - Emergency Medicine (CCFP-EM) certifications
  • Geriatrics and rural emergency room experience
