Job Description

As a skilled Flooring Craftsman or Tiling Professional, you will be responsible for installing tile strips, preparing surfaces, applying adhesives, setting and aligning tiles, cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles, packing and removing grout, and replacing damaged tiles. You will also estimate costs and materials, manage resources, and install additional features such as underbeds, anchor bolts, wires, and brackets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Surface Preparation: Measure and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Adhesive Application: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels, following strict safety protocols.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place, apply pressure to affix them to the base, and align and straighten tiles, guaranteeing a seamless finish.
  • Cutting and Fitting: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
  • Grout Management: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout, ensuring a clean and polished appearance.
  • Damaged Tile Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, maintaining the integrity of the installation.
  • Additional Features: Build underbeds, install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets, and cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite, exceeding client expectations.
  • Resource Management: Estimate costs and materials, manage resources effectively, and install tile strips, optimizing workflow and productivity.
