About the Role

This position involves designing and implementing automation and drive systems for web handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial controls networks, experience with PLCs and AC/DC drive systems, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop HMI applications.
  • Implement PLC programs for web converting equipment.
  • Review and optimize PLC network architecture.
  • Configure AC/DC drives.
  • Integrate legacy drives, controls, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a Controls background.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in engineering.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC drive systems, PCs, Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC.
  • Previous experience with AutoCad, PLCs, AC and DC Drive systems, and Supervisory control systems.
  • Strong understanding of industrial controls networks.
  • Web handling and converting equipment experience is preferred but not a requirement.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong technical aptitude and good analytical skills; organized and detail-oriented.
  • 40% travel is required, including North-America and international travel.
  • Experience with Windows, Word, Excel, and industrial programming software such as Ladder Logic, Control Block Diagramming, HMI configuration software, and Drives interface/programming software.
