Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $25 per hour, as well as excellent benefits, including group benefits, RRSP pension, and exclusive perks/discounts available only to SE Health staff. This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement.

Job Description

We are currently hiring Full-Time Evening Personal Support Workers (PSW) for Community Care in Hamilton. As a PSW, you will be responsible for providing hands-on support to clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also assist with mobility and transfers, as well as provide emotional support and companionship.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
  • RN or RPN
  • Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
  • Valid Developmental Support Worker Certificate
  • Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse, Physician

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must have a valid driver's license and vehicle, current CPR Certificate level C, current immunization record (TB test completed within the past 12 months), and current vulnerable sector check screening. You must also be available to work days OR evenings; including weekends.
