About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly clean common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and stairwells;
  • Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, clean, and sanitize kitchens and bathrooms;
  • Thoroughly clean vacant rooms to prepare for incoming residents;
  • Collect refuse from residents' rooms and dispose of it in accordance with set procedures;
  • Clean and restock housekeeping cart; notify Supervisor when supplies are low;
  • Promote a safety culture by continuously working safely, identifying and reporting hazards, following safe work practices and procedures, wearing personal protective equipment, supporting others to work safely, and completing safety education.
About You

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, has a high level of initiative, and is committed to completing housekeeping assignments efficiently and in a warm, friendly, and customer-service-oriented manner. You will be surrounded by a supportive and talented team who make our communities great places to live, work, and visit.

In addition to a High School diploma or equivalent education, you will bring:

  • A high level of initiative for and commitment to completing housekeeping assignments efficiently and in a warm, friendly, and customer-service-oriented manner;
  • Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers to meet needs in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and safely use chemical cleaning agents and equipment;
  • Ability to provide a clear criminal record check upon hire;
  • Advanced proficiency in the English language is required, proficiency in French considered an asset;
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
