Overview

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing samples, performing instrument calibration and maintenance, scheduling work activities, preparing reagents, and processing data. They will also communicate with clients, perform quality control procedures, and deliver results in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct microbiological analyses using established methods and procedures.
  • Perform instrument/equipment calibration and maintenance as required.
  • Schedule and plan laboratory work activities efficiently.
  • Prepare reagents, standards, and reference materials.
  • Process data, maintain records, and document results.
  • Communicate with clients regarding test results and other matters.
  • Conduct quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Deliver high-quality results to clients in a timely manner.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A B.Sc. or Technical Diploma in Microbiology or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an analytical laboratory or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
