Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at RhynoCare in the Aylmer area. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents in a long-term care setting.

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
• Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
• Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including a comprehensive orientation to the home and its services.
• Ensure resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
• Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other relevant legislation.
• Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
• Clear Criminal Record check.
