We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospitality Team Member to join our team at Setters Neighbourhood Pub Ltd. as a bartender.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing the operations of a cocktail lounge or bar, serving food or snacks, advising on wine selection, and providing recommendations on drink selections.

You will also be required to collect cash, credit/debit cards or other payment for beverages, operate a cash register, store beverage and food products, order bar stock and maintain inventory and control of bar stock, and enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.

In addition, you will prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages, take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons, and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in hospitality or related field (an asset)
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment (essential)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines (required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (necessary)
  • Certification in Serving It Right (must have)
Work Environment

This is a permanent full-time position with 30-40 hours per week. You will be required to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
