Fibrotek Matériaux Avancés inc. is seeking a skilled Precision Machinist to join our team in an exciting role that combines technical expertise with problem-solving skills.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced engineers and technicians to design, develop, and manufacture advanced materials for various industries.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accuracy and precision in machined parts.
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to optimize production efficiency.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery/tools to achieve high-quality results.
  • Fabricate and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance requirements.
  • Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances to prevent defects.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce complex parts and assemblies.
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in precision machining, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industries.
  • Certifications in Machinist Trade and Tool and Die Maker Trade are assets.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
