Methods Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Methods Specialist to join our team at Bombardier in Montreal, Canada. This is a non-employee contract position with competitive pay and benefits.
About the RoleThe Methods Specialist will be responsible for validating and correcting assembly specifications or manufacturing routines for aircraft components. You will interpret drawings and other documents from the engineering department and establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components.
You will also define the tools required for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components to ensure the required geometric tolerancing. Additionally, you will harmonize the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategies, working closely with the engineering, materials logistics, quality, and production departments.
You will take an active part in production support by coordinating the resolution of technical problems with other support departments. Furthermore, you will be on the lookout for ways to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies and take part in research and development projects.
Requirements- A college or university diploma in mechanical, avionics, electrical, industrial, or electromechanical engineering, or a minimum of 1-3 years in a related discipline;
- Comfortable reading technical drawings and having good 3D visualization and analytical skills;
- Logical and mechanically minded;
- Familiar with Ms Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
- Familiar with computer-aided drafting software such as Catia, AutoCad, Enovia, etc.;
- Familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software such as BAAN, SAP...
- An excellent team player, with a reputation for perseverance and sound judgment;
- Fluent in both spoken and written French, and having a good knowledge of English.
We offer a competitive base salary of $65,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits including insurance plans, retirement savings plan, employee assistance program, and tele health program.
