We are seeking a seasoned Security Officer to fill the role of Lead Security Team Member. This is a part-time opportunity with JMS Security in Nanaimo, BC.

Compensation: The salary for this position is estimated at $22 per hour based on industry standards and location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of security officers and ensure they adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members
  • Maintain a professional and disciplined approach in all interactions
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and efficiency
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals

Requirements:

  • Valid British Columbia Basic Security Training (BST)
  • Advanced Security Training (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Valid OFA Level 1
  • Strong leadership and conflict de-escalation skills
  • Excellent report writing and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
