Job Overview

Agropur is seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automated systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project engineering to develop and implement automation solutions for Truro plant-based projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to maintenance staff on PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and security regulations, as well as relevant health and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to automated systems, including program management protocols and quality control procedures.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance maintenance staff's knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in automated production or electrical engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in the dairy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMI, and instrumentation equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
