Job Title: Tour Guide

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Tour Guide to join our team at Tourland Travel Ltd. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, providing expert knowledge, and ensuring the smooth operation of our tours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and informative commentaries to our clients.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality commentaries that showcase the best of our destinations.
  • Drive sightseeing or tour vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Confirm transportation and accommodation reservations to ensure seamless logistics.
  • Collect administration or entrance fees as required.
  • Run with rickshaws or cycle with rickshaws to provide unique experiences.
  • Co-ordinate recreation activities and ensure the well-being of our clients.
  • Describe points of interest, answer questions, and supply information to our clients.
  • Resolve any itinerary or other problems that may arise during the tour.
  • Ensure and monitor luggage transfers to prevent any issues.
  • Assist clients with check-in procedures for accommodation and/or transportation.
  • Utilize microphones or other communication devices to provide directions and information to our clients.
  • Attend to international border crossings and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Co-ordinate activities with local tour guides or leaders of performance groups.
  • Provide information on tipping customs, currency exchange rates, and other details to our clients.
  • Sell souvenirs to our clients and provide recommendations.
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs and ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Conduct guided tours of museums, gallery exhibitions, and historical, heritage, and other sites, answer inquiries, and provide information.
  • Transport or escort individuals or groups on tours of cities, waterways, and industrial and other establishments.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job.

Working Conditions:

  • 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
