Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabricator to join our team at Arrow Transportation Systems Inc. As a Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for maintaining safe working conditions, adhering to Occupational Health and Safety regulations, and performing various tasks related to steel fabrication and welding.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Perform steel fabrication and welding tasks, including reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Operate welding equipment and manual flame-cutting equipment.
- Conduct repairs, modifications, and retrofits of steel structures.
- Assist in the development of repair estimates and monitor parts usage.
- Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and provide quality customer service.
Requirements
- Interprovincial Red Seal or Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) tickets (minimum C ticket).
- Proven experience in steel fabrication and welding, with a minimum of 5 years preferred.
- Ability to pass a physical examination to ensure the ability to perform job requirements.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment and under pressure.
