About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Database Architect to join our team in Markham. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our SQL Server RDBMS systems to ensure high availability and performance of our product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement database solutions to meet business requirements
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes to ensure high performance and security
  • Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
  • Analyze and solve complex database issues in real-time
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
  • Provide technical mentorship and cross-training to other team members

Requirements:

  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models
  • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS
  • Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
