Job Title: Senior Technical Architect

Job Summary:
Foilocn is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Architect to lead the development and implementation of technical architectures for our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing technical architectures that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements technical architectures for large distributed cross-platform environments
- Identifies relevant information and determines the environment for development
- Develops and manages technical architecture for all or specific applications

Requirements:
- Leadership experience in the development and implementation of technical architectures
- Extensive experience with at least three different platforms, operating systems, environments, database technologies, and communications protocols
- Experience with middleware and gateways
- Knowledge of performance considerations in different environments
- Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, and implementation of applications
- Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large systems environments
- Knowledge and experience designing processes around ITIL
- Experience translating business requirements into reporting needs
- Experience preparing conceptual, logical, and/or physical processes and data models
- Experience developing, recommending, implementing, and managing technical architecture
- Experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools and other software tools such as project management tools
- Awareness of emerging technologies, trends, and directions
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
- A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
- Experience developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g., models)

Desirable Skills:
- Experience developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g., models) based on Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and practice
- Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Content Management (Open Text ECM applications)
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices

Technical Skills:
- Data Ingestion and Storage: Proficiency in using Microsoft Fabric for collecting and storing data from various sources, both batch and real-time (or similar tools and skills)
- Data Analysis and Transformation: Ability to use notebooks for data analysis and transformation, leveraging languages like Python, Spark, and SQL
- Data Cleaning: Skills in cleaning and preprocessing data to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Visualization and Reporting: Expertise in creating visual representations of data using Power BI to develop interactive dashboards and reports (or similar)

Analytical Skills:
- Data Interpretation: Understanding of statistical methods to interpret data and identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex data sets and solve problems through data-driven insights
- Business Acumen: Knowledge of business processes and how data can be used to improve decision-making and performance

AI and Machine Learning Skills:
- AI Integration: Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts to leverage Copilot for enhanced data analysis and visualization
- Predictive Analytics: Using AI tools to perform predictive analytics and generate forecasts based on historical data
