How You Will Contribute:

The Wavelogic family of products is widely used in our optical fiber transmission solutions and contributes significantly to our success in the telecommunications industry. As a Senior ASIC Design Engineer, you'll propose innovative solutions to design power and area-optimized functional blocks for the Wavelogic family of products.

  • You'll read and understand architecture and functional requirements specification documents, collaborating with systems engineers and architects.
  • You'll produce an implementation specification document, reviewed by your team, architects, and analog designers, if applicable.
  • You'll create and integrate new and existing RTL and/or C source code, algorithms, and functions.
  • You'll be responsible for designer testing of your code and debugging during simulation and regression verification.
  • You'll assist the verification team in determining coverage and provide design assertions and waivers as needed.
  • You'll craft timing constraints for your code and participate in synthesis log reviews, constraint reviews, timing report analysis, layout, and backend reviews.

The Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, coupled with proven experience in System Verilog for design.
  • Familiarity with digital (including formal) verification methods.
  • Experience with digital design synthesis, STA, timing closure, and asynchronous clock crossing.
  • Good understanding of timing/power/area analysis and trade-offs.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $99,400-$158,800, depending on location and qualifications. Ciena offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision plans, 401(K), ESPP, EAP, paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation time. We also comply with all applicable laws regarding Paid Family Leave and other leaves of absence.
