We are searching for a BIM Coordinator to join our growing team. The coordinator will have no direct reports and will be facilitating the BIM production team liaising with various discipline groups that represent the Mobility group. In addition, the coordinator will be part of a national network of office-focused BIM leaders under a BIM Manager, governed by Canada Mobility BIM Lead. This coordinator would be part of an overall mission focusing on cross-sector synergy empowering global work-sharing, standardization and optimization, as well as shepherding cross-sector collaboration and data harnessing throughout a project's lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform various Building Information Models (BIM) tasks such as producing, reviewing and managing project drawings and documentation
  • Perform and check models to ensure that they meet the Arcadis and project standards and meet the project's BIM Goals
  • Ensure projects have a defined BIM Execution Plan and champion the plan's fulfillment throughout the project's lifecycle
  • Be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the performance of the models
  • Act in a leadership capacity to assist the BIM Team for both Design and Production
  • Keep an eye on coordination and troubleshooting and act as a subject matter expert on BIM related issues while maintaining best practices
  • Maintain constant communication with the Canada Mobility BIM Lead to ensure bi-direction communication between staff and the region
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in BIM technology support role in the A/E field including production and coordination
  • Five-year minimum experience in Civil 3D
  • Will to be autonomous since working remotely
  • Able to be work closely with other BIM coordinators across Canada
  • Experience in 3D design and multi-discipline coordination, managing models and facilitating data exchange
  • Strong communication skills for the team-based working environment and for teaching others about best practices in BIM
  • Excellent team leadership to lead a BIM team for design and production
  • Excellent planning and organization skills required for fast-paced projects
  • Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
  • Ability to interact with external entities (clients, owners, agencies) to interpret and understand desired BIM or CAD delivery requirements
