About the Role

As a Senior Java Software Developer at Orium, you will play a pivotal role in driving impactful digital solutions for high-profile enterprise clients across the US, Canada, and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and Support: Develop, implement, and maintain high-quality project work for Order Management Systems (OMS) and Point of Sale (POS) platforms, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with designers, Product Managers, and clients to gather requirements, prioritize work, and ensure timely delivery of projects within budget.
  • Technical Documentation and API Design: Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and APIs to effectively communicate design solutions and enable seamless system data exchange.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Provide regular updates, address concerns, and ensure transparency on project progress, challenges, and decisions.
  • Code Quality and Review: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards, contributing to high-quality deliverables and robust system performance.
  • Support Request and Incident Management: Track and resolve support requests and incidents using a ticketing system, ensuring timely communication and resolution to minimize downtime.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years as a software engineer, with some hands-on experience in retail industry operations and commerce data infrastructure.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, serverless computing (AWS Lambda), Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), message brokers (SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ), OMS and POS platforms, CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, real-time data management, API design, and integration.
  • Soft Skills: Collaborative, adaptable, and thriving in a flexible and team-oriented environment.
