Salary:$41.42 to $55.91 per hour, effective April 1, 2024

About the Job:

The Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in enhancing patient quality of life and collaborating with other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide diabetes education and support, participating as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Have a strong understanding of adult education principles and change facilitation skills, along with excellent knowledge of diabetes care and management.
  • Enhance patient and family quality of life by consulting, conferring, and collaborating with other healthcare providers.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in nursing.
  • Maintain and advance own clinical competence.
  • Participate in designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.

This is a casual opportunity, which means hours are not guaranteed and may vary with shifts at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions. Many opportunities within Interior Health begin with casual employment and lead to regular employment.

Work Schedule: Shifts will be scheduled Monday through Friday with times between 08:00 and 16:00, 07:30 and 15:30, or 08:30 and 16:30 hours.
