Job Title: Truck Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at THE FREIGHT SYSTEMS INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the condition of our vehicles, loading and unloading goods, and performing emergency roadside repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the condition of our vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Load and unload goods
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license (Class 1 or A)
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility
  • Ability to work overtime
