Job Title: Data Quality Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Analyst to join our team at Oak Valley Health. As a Data Quality Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our data, which will inform our decision-making and drive quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor documentation practices and identify errors for corrections and resolutions.
  • Ensure the provision of accurate and quality data from all stakeholders for decision-making, external reporting, and benchmarking.
  • Perform data quality audits and analysis to identify solutions to data quality and data validation problems.
  • Identify trends and outliers in data and follow up with end-users and managers to ensure standards of practice are maintained.
  • Coordinate and monitor data quality activities initiated from the Data Quality and Analytics Committee.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of the Corporate Data Quality Scorecard and make recommendations for continuous quality improvement.
  • Evaluate and monitor HIM project progress and measure project performance using necessary tools and techniques.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field and recommend innovative ways to improve reporting process efficiency and quality.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare and process analysis and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of patient registration and health information management.
  • Experience working with hospital administrative data and other large healthcare datasets.
  • Prior experience in working with SharePoint and business intelligence tools, particularly Power BI.
  • Background and experience in working with hospital electronic medical record systems, specifically Meditech Expanse.
  • Certified Health Information Management Professional and member of the Canadian Health Information Management Association.
