Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

SMOKES POUTINERIE WESTDALE is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation staff, ensuring efficient and safe food handling practices.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Hire and manage food service staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates, analyzing financial data to inform operational decisions.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare and submit reports, providing regular updates on kitchen operations and performance.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and staff development.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
