Position Overview
Interior Health is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the Digital Health team in Kelowna. This is a full-time, term-specific position that will last until approximately March 31, 2025.

Key Responsibilities
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will evaluate, plan, implement, and maintain computerized business systems that support healthcare financial and management information needs throughout Interior Health. Your priorities and objectives will be developed in conjunction with designated management representatives and the Manager.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct needs assessments for assigned business service areas/departments, liaise with members of the assigned areas/departments, care providers, and vendors to resolve problems and recommend modifications to and/or new systems, ensuring effective and efficient system implementation, maintenance, and evaluation.

• Determine ongoing information needs, implement system changes, and provide support related to applicable computer applications.

• Install, configure, support, and maintain applications and overall integration of computerized business systems throughout Interior Health.

• Serve as the primary contact person for assigned business service areas regarding applications and interface issues and secondary contact for business applications Meditech, Microsoft, etc.

• Develop proposals for modification and/or enhancement of vendor business applications and liaise with vendors to oversee installation, testing, and problem resolution/debugging of program coding.

• Design, develop, implement, and evaluate computerized business dictionaries, databases, and reports using vendor software applications.

• Plan, implement, and evaluate educational training requirements and provide related training to meet the learning needs of users within the assigned business service areas/departments with respect to (a) education of new users and (b) the continuing education of users regarding items such as system upgrades and new technology.

• Provide input to the Coordinator related to capital budget and renovation items as required.

Requirements
Education, Training, and Experience:
A degree or diploma program in Computer Science plus two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities:
Ability to organize work, deal with others effectively, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, operate related equipment, and perform the duties of the position.
