About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Rocky Mountain Dodge. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and performing scheduled maintenance service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service to ensure vehicles are in good working condition
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Requirements
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
  • Previous experience in engine repair, 4-wheel drive, electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, diagnostics, alignment, steering and suspension, brake system, hydraulic system, fuel and emission system, ignition and electrical system, automatic transmission, standard transmission, engine repair and overhaul, and imported vehicles
