About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Localization Video Game Tester to join our team at Global Step. As a Localization Video Game Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of video game and related software translations, checking the quality of the language used in various texts and audio files on different media.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the quality of video game and related software translations, checking the quality of the language used in various texts and audio files on different media.
  • Enter all spelling, grammar, syntax, punctuation, and translation errors into our database.
  • Suggest an appropriate and suitable correction to provide the excellent translation quality sought by our customers.
  • Identify any inconsistencies in the story, lack of context, inappropriate terminology, etc.
  • Ensure that content is well adapted to the language, culture (e.g. cultural references) and European Portuguese market.
  • Report these tasks using an evaluation sheet and/or checklist to your Lead Tester.
Requirements
  • Deep knowledge of Portuguese (European) culture and language.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand texts of varying complexity in English.
  • Experience in translation or localization an asset.
  • Be available AT LEAST three (3) days per week.
