Physiotherapist 2 - Long Term Care Specialist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our Long Term Care team at Adanac Park Lodge in Vancouver, BC. As a Physiotherapist with VCH, you will play a vital role in supporting the interdisciplinary program team in achieving program and resident/client goals.
Key Responsibilities- Consult, confer, and collaborate with Program Manager and team members to promote continuous quality improvement and implement interdisciplinary research.
- Supervise and coordinate work assignments, establish priorities, and problem-solve with designated non-health science professional (HSP) FTE.
- Be responsible for all clinical aspects of the assigned caseload, utilizing recognized physiotherapy assessment and intervention approaches.
- Work collaboratively with members of the health care team to set physical performance and capacity goals, evaluate response to treatment, and develop long-term care plans.
Adanac Park Lodge is a regional Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Long Term Care (LTC) program specializing in providing care to younger adults with complex health and behavioral needs. Our unique population of focus is younger adults who have concurrent Mental Health, Substance Use, and/or Acquired Brain Injury, and who often have co-existing physical, developmental, and/or chronic health conditions.
Qualifications- Degree in Physical Therapy from a recognized program.
- Current full registration with the College of Physiotherapists of BC (CPTBC).
- Two (2) years' recent, related experience in the designated service area, including one (1) year's related mentoring, preceptoring, coaching, and/or group facilitation experience.
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA).
